Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz launches Punjab’s new laptop and e-bike scheme to support hardworking students across the province

Government’s Vision for Educational Support

The Punjab Government has launched a powerful initiative under the leadership of CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif to empower students by providing electric motorbikes and laptops.

 Laptops for Hardworking Students

This year, the number of laptop recipients will increase to over 100,000, up from the previous 30,000–35,000. Each student will receive a laptop worth Rs. 225,000, aimed specifically at meritorious students, including those already receiving scholarships.

Free CD Honda Electric Bikes

The scheme also introduces free e-bikes for students, focusing on those from underprivileged backgrounds. The government aims to support students who are serious about their education but financially limited.

New Eligibility Criteria: 70% Marks

A new policy update has reduced the qualifying percentage from 80% to 70%, allowing more deserving students to benefit from the scheme.

New Medical College in Layyah

A new medical college is also being established in Layyah, and students from Dera Ghazi Khan Division will also be included in this scheme.

 Government’s Vision for Educational Support

The Punjab Government will now cover all academic expenses — including laptops, tuition fees, and educational tools — especially for children from low-income families. This is part of a larger goal to offer jobs to qualified students once they complete their studies.
